Description

Excilon™ AMD antimicrobial drain sponges are impregnated with PHMB (Polyhexamethylene Biguanide), a powerful yet safe antiseptic that has a broad range effectiveness against gram positive and gram negative microorganisms including some multi-drug resistant strains such as MRSA. This exciting new product provides healthcare facilities a low cost, prophylactic method of treatment without changing nursing protocol.

PHMB is highly effective against most organisms. It limits cross-contamination from patient-to-patient, patient-to-clinician, and patient-to-environment.

ExcilonTM AMD Antimicrobial Drain and IV sponges help resist bacterial colonization within the dressing and prevents infection from growing and spreading in the dressing.

Bacterial penetration is also reduced through the dressing which helps minimize infection exposure from strike-though.

Works & Fits Great November 28, 2017

Can NOT find the Drain & IV "gauze) Sponges in local drug stores.  Don't like cutting regular gauze pad/sponges to "accomadate" the area of surgery and catheter opening that required daily coverage.  Cutting regular gauze leaves tiny pieces of white strings all around the wound and makes a mess.  These are great and the price "ain't" bad either.
